Top Reds Pitching Prospect Has Best Start of 2012

After failing to reach the sixth inning in his first three starts Daniel Corcino turned in his second straight scoreless outing last night to lead Bakersfield to a 1-0 win that salvaged a split in their doubleheader with Lancaster. The top Reds pitching prospect has now brought his ERA down to 2.61 on the young season.

Pensacola hosted Jackson for a double header yesterday to make up for a rain out on Wednesday and dropped the first game 3-1. Pedro Villarreal was charged with his second loss of the season despite turning in a quality start. Henry Rodriguez had a couple of hits for the Wahoos and drove in their only run.
