Rain Brings Loss to Wahoos

Right-hander Kyle Lotzkar is one of the top pitching prospects in the Cincinnati organization. His development was put on hold for almost two years that included a Tommy John surgery that kept him off the mound for all of the 2009 season. After starting out the year strong at Bakersfield the Reds are looking to get the 23 year-old back on schedule at their higher minor league levels.

Pensacola trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the bottom of the seventh inning at Mississippi and that was the final score when rain cancelled the remainder of the game. Prospect Kyle Lotzkar made his debut at the AA level and took the loss despite turning in a quality start.
