Reds Lose Opener

Cincinnati opened its season with a 3-1 home loss to the Angels in 13 innings. A bigger loss may turn out to be cleanup hitter Ryan Ludwick pending MRI results from a dislocated shoulder he suffered in the opener.

There was a lot of anxiety for Reds fans to see their team's new lineup debut after acquiring leadoff hitter Shin-Soo Choo. Choo did not disappoint, going 2-5 with a hit-by-pitch and a run.
