The Cardinal Nation's local minors writers

Our correspondents are at the St. Louis Cardinals minor league ballparks, bringing the news directly to you.

With the St. Louis Cardinals changing two of their minor league affiliations for 2013, The Cardinal Nation will remain in step with our local reporting coverage all season long. We continue to be your one-stop home for all St. Louis Cardinals system-wide information.

Our writers live in the cities where their clubs are located and attend games regularly. They share that first-hand insight with The Cardinal Nation subscribers on an immediate basic for breaking news and on a regular schedule for in-depth reports.

Corey Carmichael reports from AutoZone Park
Our 2013 writers for the Cardinals four full-season clubs are Corey Carmichael in Triple-A Memphis, Brandon Mahler at Double-A Springfield, Juan Dorado with A-Advanced Palm Beach and Alex Ross in Class-A Peoria. Carmichael and Ross are new to the team this year.

Each week, on the following schedule, The Cardinal Nation subscribers can read these locally-sourced reports. Our reporters will give you the scoop directly from the ballpark on what is happening with their club: player movement, role changes, injuries, who is hot and not and more – far beyond what you can learn from simply reading box scores.

With the start of full-season ball, weekly eyewitness reports from our minor league correspondents will commence on April 9. The initial week's notebooks will be free to all, but the weeks following will be available only to subscribers.

Tuesday: Springfield Cardinals notebook
Wednesday: Peoria Chiefs notebook
Thursday: Memphis Redbirds notebook
Friday: Palm Beach Cardinals notebook

There's more!

Once short-season ball begins in mid-June, our local reporters in State College, Johnson City and in the Gulf Coast League will kick into gear as well, giving you, the subscriber, unequalled end-to-end coverage of the Cardinals system here in the US.

In addition to the aforementioned team reports, our 2012 Memphis reporter, Pierce Jefferson, will be authoring a weekly column with news "Around Major League Baseball." Look for these each Monday, starting this week.

Daily minor league notebooks, recapping all the scores and results around the Cardinals minor league system for The Cardinal Nation subscribers, are again written by Leonda Markee. Look for them recapping the previous day's action and previewing the upcoming starters every morning all season long.
