Soto Expected to Start Third Season at Louisville

Neftali Soto had one of the higher power projections in the Reds organization when he cracked 30 homers for Pensacola in 2011. In the two seasons since he hasn't been able to top half of that total against AAA pitching. Though a bit disappointing his production hasn't been that bad and the Reds are now trying to move his glove back to third base to get around the Votto block.

There was good reason to expect a breakout season from Neftali Soto coming into 2013 since he was headed for his second full season against AAA competition. The good news is that he managed to raise his batting average .026'. The bad news is that his on-base percentage stayed the same, hinting that he sacrificed selectivity for more hits.
