The Defense Did Not Rest

Father's Day was defense day in the Reds organization as each affiliate won while allowing only four total runs. Louisville won a 1-0 contest, Bakersfield pounded out a win, and Ismael Guillon had his best outing of the season for Dayton. Meanwhile Johnny Cueto returned with a solid outing as the Reds picked up a game on St. Louis.

Stellar pitching and defense provided the Cincinnati organization a banner day as five affiliates went 5-0. Opponents were shut out in three different contests while Reds employees combined to outscore their opponents 24-4.
